Invest in yourself for 2024

Invest in yourself for 2024

Sounds super sexy right? Well it’s been a rough ride for many. Now, more than ever, it’s so crucial to invest in yourself before thinking about tackling the year with gusto. Like everything worth having, this takes effort and practice but we’ve got your back with these  mighty pearls of wisdom.

Self-care is a MUST.

To you, this may mean ‘facemask + turning off your phone’ OR ‘wine + trashy TV’. Whatever it means to you, it’s essential you take the time out to reconnect with yourself and your needs, with no one else in mind. At Ilo Wellness, we encourage and empower all to look after their sexual wellbeing. We recommend unwinding with one of our sustainable, eco-friendly pleasure toys, because nothing screams self-love like self-pleasure.

Take your own advice.

This sounds like a no brainer, but it’s something that we easily forget to do. We all know the type of advice we would give to our best friend when they come to us in a time of need- we love them, so we want the best for them! Whether we would listen to this advice or not, we know deep down that it is the right thing to do. So why not be our own best friend in times of doubt; ask yourself, “What advice would I tell my best friend?” Listen to yourself and trust your instincts.

Protect your energy.

Cancel those draining ‘PR’ catch ups that you dread- emotional vampires and competitive frenemies are the silent killers. You always have a choice with the types of people you surround yourself with, and this can really affect your mood. Remember, even family can be toxic to your wellbeing. You owe it to yourself to protect your energy, and once you start eliminating this baggage from your life you will feel so much lighter and better for it.

Back yourself, baby.

This applies to everything you do. Whether you’re trying boxing for the first time or going on a first date, positive self-talk is key to boosting confidence and calming your qualms. To put this into practice, try manifesting as we have seen it work many times before. For those who are new to the game, manifesting is when you write down a goal of yours on a piece of paper by saying it will happen (the more specific, the better). For example: “In two months time, I will have an interview for the Magazine I applied for.” It’s less about chance, and more about putting your aspirations out in the universe with confidence and clarity.
